Every year on March 23, Shaheed Diwas commemorates the deaths of Indian freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar. The three were hanged by Britishers in the Lahore Central Jail in British India (now Pakistan) on March 23, 1931.
