He may have stepped down as India's T20 captain, but the investigation against him remains as harsh as ever, according to the captain in the IPL.

For all his astonishing success as a batsman, Kohli can never claim to have mastered the art of captaincy in white-ball cricket, especially in T20s. His choice to step down as T20 captain though is the hallmark of a perfectly timed cover drive (though it is something that has failed him recently) - sure if India wins the T20 World Cup. Will leave him on a high, a winning thing that he has yet to win an ICC trophy. If India passes out on the title, he avoids facing the aggressive brutality to be removed from his post at the captain's money, which would definitely have followed.
